Coming in 2015 Kids@ Play Takes Front and Center at
CEA Venetian/Sands Expo and Conference Center
According to every report the fastest growing part of the kids business are youth electronics. We’ve finally crossed the chasm to a point where kid’s high tech tools are as native to them as their backpacks and sneakers. (And as important a part of their lives as their parents!)
At the 2015 International CES
This year’s marks the 6th Kids@Play Conference and Summit. We continue to explore the impact of technology on kids and their families and to pinpoint the newest and most exciting trends in the kids’ tech arena.
our program focuses on some of the major milestones:
In the past year the kids tablet industry has grown from one where parents let kid have a few stolen minutes on their own tablets to a robust business with dozens of fabulous devices that are affordable and built with the parental controls, ruggedness and apps that a kid’s world demands.
A IS FOR APPS
Now that there are thousands of apps, some more successful than others, we’ll be looking at the elements of creating a successful app business. Hardware tie-ins? Subscription libraries? Augmented reality? Socially networked? With creative companies like Toca Boca reporting more than 50 million downloads, we’re starting to see what works, what doesn’t and everything in between.
KIDS AS MAKERS
Is it nostalgic parents that want a simpler more tactile world for their kids or is a renewed value placed on the open-ended creative exploration? Whatever the catalyst we’ve seen some fantastic products that combine technology with a hands on experience designed to empower kids to say “Look at what I’ve made”.
