Through his own experience he has learned the importance of recovery and sleep for optimizing performance and for avoiding over-conditioning and injuries in sports. As an entrepreneur leading a start-up company and often suffering from jet lag, he also understands the importance of stress management. Previously Lasse worked as a research scientist in Helsinki University of Technology in Finland specializing in the method called ballistocardiography (BCG) in the field of biomedical engineering. BCG is the underlying method for Beddit technology and products. It allows measurement of the functioning of the cardiovascular system by analysing the micro movements of the body caused by cardiac activity and blood movements in the circulation. Lasse lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, California with his wife and two children.
